This online platform seeks to raise the value of that nomination whomever wins it and is not a space for disqualifying any possible nominee or the value of the nomination should she or he obtain it. I understand and respect that our host here has concluded that Donald Trump became president in large part because some people trashed the value of the Democratic nomination simply because their candidate did not win it and that one of the his goals with this site is to inoculate the 2020 nominee, whomever it shall be, against that kind of harm. Whether or not I agree with that point of view, I understand that this view influences how he has designed and will carry out the work of this platform. In that context, I understand that comments here are moderated and each submission, to be published, will be approved (or not) based on Al’s sense of whether the comment is on topic, adds value to the discourse, and does not weaken or harm the value of the 2020 nomination or the potential nominee. I accept that this space is the fruit of the labor of others and that I am an invited guest, and that while there is no user agreement to subscribe to the newsletter and receive it via email, to additionally participate in this online forum, its monthly straw poll, comment submissions and other subscribers-only features, I agree to abide by the house rules.
